Phillip Island Classic w/end on track

Well the w/end looking good with fine sunny days up to 30 on Sunday. A good turn out of Marshals with three or four on each point. On Point 6.0 for w/end with Christian on coms and a Trainee Flagger Greg doing his 3rd & 4th days. Great racing again over Sat & Sun with only a couple on minor incidents at out point. Great Team if I do say so myself both guys fun to work with, made it a real enjoyable w/end. We only had three reports over the two days of racing. All categories having two races each on both days.

What can I say about this w/end WOW was great plenty of cars about 500 over 9 categories plus Regularity and 5LT Touring Cars Demonstration. Also Celebrating 25 years with Sir Jack Brabham making an appearance and a couple of laps around the track but not as a driver. Categories were M&O Sports racing & invited, Historic Touring Cars Over 3LT, Formula Ford & Vee, Group SaSb & Invited,Q&R Sports Cars & Invited, Group A&C Touring Cars, JK&Lb & Invited, Q&R Racing and F5000, Historic Touring Cars Under 3LT. Way to Many different cars to name but oldest car being about 1927 Bugatti Type 35c and a 1927 Lancia Meadows to early 1990s for Historic Touring cars. The 5LT Touring Car Demo had cars from 1987 to 2001. On Friday I was placed at post 6.0 Siberia on my own coms and flags this was due to not as many Marshals able to do Fridays, today was Morning Practice and afternoon Qualifying starting at 9am and finish at about 5pm. The day was overcast and we had some light showers for about 1 1/2hrs in the middle of the day and a windy afternoon the temp was low 20s. Only had one report to fill out which was for passing under red.
