We already have our 2014 calender for race meets full Myself and some others from VFT looking forward to Bathurst 12 hour in February and AGP F1 Melbourne in March while others are heading over to Adelaide for Clipsal 500 for the first of our V8 rounds. Once again George Hetrel our club patron opened up his gardens to let us enjoy a wonderful day relaxing and catching up before the end of 2013. Cams Victorian Motor Sport Awards Night 6/12/13

Well this wasn't on my calendar of events but was invited to be a guess at the Cams Victorian Motor Sport Awards Night at Melbourne Aquatic Centre at Albert Park. Was great to be able to attend this with Paul Meade, William Gaff, Mark Thompson and Kevin Redman to see the other side of the track so to speak nice to see some of our young drivers from Formula Vee and Ford getting their awards and speaking of what they want to do in the future. Great company great food a nice wine glass for a souvenir. William Gaff accepted the Award for Official of the year on behalf of Terry O'Callaghan.

Island Magic Sun 1/12/13 RACE DAY Phillip Island

Its Race day last one for 2013 5.30am alarm goes off I get up look outside the weatherman was right for a change a fantastic morning, brekky and pack bag and head off, 1 hour drive to the track at Phillip Island.
Today we have all races, with 5 lap races in the morning and a 1 hour race for Sports Cars the afternoon we have 10 lap races for all Categories. Back on point 6.0 with Suz on comms again and this time I have a trainee on flags Flag brief at 730am and main muster at 8am but first I grab a coffee and a egg & Bacon roll.
A good day of racing no major incidents just the normal push and shove you expect on race day. A mini filled up with smoke as he rounded our corner leaving a nice trail of oil guess I will be getting on the broom again cant send trainees out on track. Some nice spins as cars rounded turn 4. Great team great day cant wait till February for my first event for 2014 Bathurst 12 hour.
